The Ransack backpack is soft to the touch, but made out of a sturdy material.

Can it fit a large full face motorcycle helmet?

Probably not, If it does fit it would be a really tight fit, and probably uncomfortable to wear the bag.

Can you strap a snowboard with these straps?

Unfortunately I don't think the bag would hold the snowboard in place. I believe it will slide down.
